Our Programs Make a Difference
For the past 19 years, we have operated at the intersection of education and business to deliver best-practice, scalable, and results-driven programs in math, mentoring, and post-secondary access to students. We utilize hundreds of trained volunteers and staff to work with 2,500 students annually.
Teachers value Math Classroom Coaches because of the impact they have on their students. Student engagement and overall confidence in math improves when volunteers work with their students. The students form new relationships and learn that others in the community care about them and want them to succeed.
Volunteers meet weekly, one-on-one with students to build relationships and serve as positive role models.
APIE students perform better on STAAR and TSI exams than their non-APIE peers.
Significantly greater percentages of APIE participants met TSI college readiness than a matched comparison group and seniors across the district.
APIE’s College Readiness Program supports grades 9-12 at select high schools.
Tutoring for a cohort of students in math and reading over seven years as part of Austin ISD’s federal grant.

Programs are evaluated through an outside evaluator each year. They analyze our programs through STAAR, TSI, student and volunteer surveys, and teacher feedback.
