Qui qu'ils soient, quand vous regardez en arri\u00e8re \u00e0 l'\u00e9cole, les gens qui se sont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s pour vous et qui ont cru en vous restent avec vous longtemps apr\u00e8s l'obtention de votre dipl\u00f4me.<\/p>\n

C'est certainement le cas de Drew Dubcak, conseiller scolaire et b\u00e9n\u00e9vole de mentorat. Son enseignante de premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e, Mme Stevenson, lui a inculqu\u00e9 le go\u00fbt d'apprendre.<\/p>\n

\u00abElle a rendu l'\u00e9cole amusante et \u00e9tait une enseignante du genre\u00ab tu peux \u00eatre tout ce que tu veux \u00eatre \u00bb\u00bb, dit Drew. Quinze ans plus tard, Drew est retourn\u00e9 dans la classe de Mme Stevenson - cette fois pour apprendre \u00e0 \u00eatre un enseignant efficace. \u00abElle est devenue un mentor pour moi, me laissant entrer dans sa salle de classe\u00bb, dit Drew. \u00abJ'ai pu voir ce que c'est que d'\u00eatre un mod\u00e8le solide pour les jeunes enfants et non seulement d'\u00eatre un enseignant, mais d'avoir un impact durable.\u00bb<\/p>\n

Drew croit qu'il est essentiel de se pr\u00e9senter pour avoir un impact sur les \u00e9tudiants, tout comme Mme Stevenson l'a fait pour elle. \u00abVous devez \u00eatre quelqu'un qui reste, car quel impact allez-vous avoir sur la vie d'un enfant si vous d\u00e9collez?\u00bb Drew a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 encadrer Tabitha il y a six ans, qu'elle \u00e9tait en sixi\u00e8me. Maintenant, elle est au lyc\u00e9e et commence \u00e0 planifier ses \u00e9tudes universitaires. En se pr\u00e9sentant r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement, Drew a \u00e9tabli un lien \u00e9troit avec Tabitha et dit qu'elle lui a appris une multitude de le\u00e7ons de vie en cours de route. \u00abVous apprenez beaucoup de votre mentor\u00e9\u00bb, dit Drew. \u00abC'est plus un privil\u00e8ge d'\u00eatre dans leur vie que d'\u00eatre la leur.\u00bb<\/p>\n

1. Faites un don pour soutenir notre travail. <\/strong>Consid\u00e9rer donnant<\/a> en l'honneur d'une personne qui s'est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e pour vous lorsque vous \u00e9tiez \u00e9tudiant. M\u00eame les petits cadeaux peuvent s'additionner rapidement!<\/p>\n

2. Courez et \/ ou collectez des fonds pour notre \u00e9quipe Austin Marathon.<\/strong> Que vous soyez coureur ou non, nous serions ravis de vous avoir inscrivez-vous \u00e0 notre \u00e9quipe<\/a>, passez le mot et collectez des fonds avec nous! Nous sommes heureux de partager des conseils et des mod\u00e8les pour vous faciliter la t\u00e2che. Lorsque nous atteignons un certain nombre de coureurs et de dons, nous devenons \u00e9ligibles \u00e0 plus d'argent dans le cadre du programme Austin Gives Miles Charity Chaser. Nous cherchons toujours \u00e0 entrer en contact avec la communaut\u00e9 d'Austin, nous appr\u00e9cions donc \u00e9galement les pr\u00e9sentations \u00e0 des supporters potentiels, des b\u00e9n\u00e9voles, des sponsors ou des donateurs.<\/p>\n

4. Montrez votre soutien sur les r\u00e9seaux sociaux<\/strong>. Aimer, commenter et partager nos publications sur les r\u00e9seaux sociaux aide \u00e0 augmenter le nombre de personnes qui voient nos publications et en apprennent davantage sur notre travail.<\/p>\n

5. Faites du b\u00e9n\u00e9volat avec nous<\/strong>.
