Diese Veranstaltung wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit der internen Immobilienabteilung des AISD durchgef\u00fchrt, wo die Sch\u00fcler den Architekten, das Ingenieurpersonal, die Bauleitung und weitere Personen trafen. Die Sch\u00fcler stellten aufschlussreiche Fragen zum Schuldesign, zu zuk\u00fcnftigen Erweiterungspl\u00e4nen, zur st\u00e4dtischen Schulplanung und zum Input der Gemeinde zum Schuldesign. APIE unterst\u00fctzt P-TECH-Sch\u00fcler an der Akins ECHS seit drei Jahren mit finanzieller Unterst\u00fctzung der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greatertexasfoundation.org\/\">Greater Texas Foundation<\/a>. Die APIE-Programme Math Classroom Coaching, College Readiness, GEAR UP und P-TECH betreuten rund 2.838 Sch\u00fclerinnen und Sch\u00fcler. Das Mentoring-Programm rekrutierte und schulte 106 Mentorinnen und Mentoren, um die Sch\u00fclerinnen und Sch\u00fcler durch regelm\u00e4\u00dfige Mentoring-Beziehungen zu unterst\u00fctzen. Zus\u00e4tzlich zu den geplanten Programmen erweiterten die APIE-Mitarbeiterinnen und -Mitarbeiter sowie die Freiwilligen ihr Angebot um allgemeine Nachhilfe in allen Fachbereichen f\u00fcr Sch\u00fclerinnen und Sch\u00fcler, die aufgrund der COVID-19-Pandemie in Lernschwierigkeiten geraten sind. Viele APIE-Programmteilnehmerinnen und -Teilnehmer erzielten positive Ergebnisse im TSIA und \u00fcbertrafen die Leistungen der Sch\u00fclerinnen und Sch\u00fcler in Vergleichsgruppen.
