How to Recognize Partners/Donors How to Develop your Campus Partner in Education Program    How to Solicit Partners, Donations, and Volunteers for your School    How to Recognize Partners/Donors    How to Report Donations and Volunteer Hours to Austin Partners in Education    Campus Partner in Education Coordinator Handbook Coming Soon The school-community partnership should be a reciprocal, mutually beneficial relationship, rather than a purely philanthropic effort on the Partner's behalf. Find ways to acknowledge the Partner and let the community know what your students have accomplished as a result of their involvement. Acknowledge Partners and volunteers in the school newsletter, marquee, bulletin boards, and website. Suggest Partners highlight the partnership in company newsletters or websites. Offer to showcase your school's choir, band or orchestra at your Partner's offices or events. Host a Partner Appreciation Breakfast/Lunch to recognize partnerships and meet with potential Partners. Contact the APIE office to receive certificates of recognition and other appreciation material. Send Partners invitations to upcoming school events and performances. Offer to provide student artwork for showcase at the Partner's place of business. Encourage school staff and faculty to learn your Partner's names, greet them warmly, and verbally acknowledge their contributions whenever possible. Written thank you notes are especially appreciated when acknowledging donations and it might be a good idea to file a copy of the note with you campus bookkeeper. Once a year, write the Partner's Chief Executive Officer a thank-you letter. Encourage the PTA and staff to support your Partner's business. Nominate your Partner for the annual awards that are given at the annual Salute Banquet. Campuses should complete and submit the nomination package before the deadline. Follow-up with your Partners, and encourage them to attend the Salute event each year. Partners can submit and complete the nomination forms before the deadline for campus and staff awards.
